Game length is typically 1½ hours and can go no longer than two hours and consists of 6 innings.
At the youth level, nearly all games are scheduled for either 6 or 7 innings, but many organizations have time limits that usually fall somewhere between 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours, allowing the schedule to keep moving, especially on days with multiple baseball games scheduled on the same field.
New Inning can only start if 15 minutes are left on time clock. Games are official after 3 complete innings. All players on the bench can bat. A pinch runner may be used for the catcher when there are two outs.
4-2-2 The game ends when the team behind in score has completed its turn at bat in the seventh inning, or any inning thereafter if extra innings are necessary. If the home team scores a go-ahead run in the bottom of the seventh inning, or in any extra inning, the game is terminated at that point.

The distances are 180’ for baseball and 170’ for softball. These distances are typically shorter than the typical fence dimensions – we recommend adding a chalk line to the field at each distance or using cones.
